I am looking forward to introducing Jim to my friends and ministry partners in Ethiopia.
Our schedule for fall 2014 Ethiopia trip:
11/13: Arrive LAX at 6 a.m., depart 8:45 a.m. Lufthansa for Washington, D.C., 6:05 p.m. depart Lufthansa for Frankfurt, Germany, arrive 8 a.m.
11/14: Depart 10:25 a.m. Frankfurt, arrive in Addis Ababa at 9:45 p.m.(Philippians 4:6).
11/15-16: Cultural acclamation and church service — Phil Walker arrives at 7:40 pm (Philippians 4:7).
11/17-18: Addis Purpose Driven Conference #6 — PEACE Plan — Sheryl teaches parts 1-7, Jim will be in men’s conference.
11/19: Travel Day to Hawassa (Phil. 4:8).
11/20-21: Hawassa Purpose Driven Conference #6 — PEACE Plan — Sheryl teaches parts 1-7.
11/22: Travel day to Addis, debrief in Addis — Phil Walker departs at 11:45 p.m. (Philippians 4:9)
11/23-24: Debrief in Addis, attend church service, depart 11:40 p.m. Lufthansa.
11/24: Arrive Frankfurt 7:45 a.m., depart Frankfurt 10:10 a.m., arrive LAX 12:45 p.m., travel home to Bakersfield (Philippians 4:10)
Specific requests: (Philippians 4:11-12)
Health: Sound sleep, no illness or distractions from ministry work
Wisdom: Strength in rigors of trip schedule, ministry opportunities, renewed friendships
Finances: Round-trip airfare for two = $7,000 + housing/meals for two = $3,000 = $10,000*
Spiritual: Truths will transform us, apply PEACE plan, other lessons learned shared with others
