God STILL Provides

#3 WalkBy Faith Not by Sight

Dear Friends,

I’M GETTING MARRIED TO JIM! CAN HARDLY STAND IT! How I wish each of you could be with us to share in the joy of our wedding day. God has truly “turned my mourning into dancing” (Psalm 30:11–12).

So thankful to be at this point. With all our preparations, we are very tired. “My flesh and heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever,” Psalm 73:26.

Please keep praying for us and thanking God for the many blessings and ways He has provided for our families. It will be a big family reunion!

“I have not giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and His incomparably great power for those who believe,” Ephesians 1:16–18.

Thank you for your prayers as Jim Turner and I exchange wedding vows on Saturday, April 12, 2014.

You can be part of our wedding ceremony by praying The Apostles’ Creed with us.

Since only family will be present for our wedding at my home church in Davis, CA, we are inviting you to join us for our Open House Wedding Reception in Bakersfield on April 26, 2014 at the beautiful Bell Tower Club, 1200 Truxtun Ave Suite 100, Bakersfield, CA 93301.

Please know you are thought of and prayed for regularly. We are blessed to know you are praying for us.

For details on our story and pictures, please check out our wedding website.

Please join us for our reception on 4/26/14. We can’t wait to see you!

My love and prayers,
Sheryl Giesbrecht (Turner)

#3 God Still ProvidesMore Wedding Program Info:

Jim and I are doing a conversational reading from I John 4:7-19. We are going to read it aloud to each other in front of our guests. Try it! We know you’ll be blessed!

“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.

The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love. By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him.

In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has seen God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us.

By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.

We have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.

Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.

By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world.

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. We love, because He first loved us. Love never fails.”
