His Bride, Her Groom

Every Love story

“Not to us, O Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.” Psalm 115:1–2

Thank you for your prayers and wedding wishes. I am now a married woman! Yes, it is marvelous being on this side of the wedding. One of the blessings we saw in motion was how everything flowed together to bring us to our wedding day. Just this past Saturday, we celebrated with our Giesbrecht/Turner Wedding Reception Open House, too, so we have praised the Lord and been blessed by so many of our friends and family. We are thankful and praise God for His provision.

Our friend Rev. Angelo Frazier wrote a poem “His Bride, Her Groom” and made keepsake Faithmarks that tell our story. We gave these away at our reception. Here’s the beautiful poem:

“His Bride, Her Groom”

From Calvary’s youth group
To a Sunday’s first date
Came a breakfast at Lorene’s
With a pre-marital mate
Or was it the hottest day
For garage cleaning in June
That the seeds of love
Began to bloom
After 25 years of knowing
Through some joy and some pain
With God as the author
They got back up again
Chiropractic during chemotherapy
A treatment and cure
Grew the hope of this union
For now and for sure
Her Boaz, his Ruth
God’s servants in time
Wonderful love birds
For their Savior they shine!
In honor of the marriage of Dr. Jim and Sheryl Giesbrecht Turner

Thank you for your prayers and join us in praise to our great God.

“You turned my wailing into dancing; you clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing your praises and not be silent, O Lord my God I will praise you forever.” Psalm 30:11–12
