Friday Favorites – Restored

Happy New Year!

What’s new for you? I am thrilled to see lives restored every day.

Last week, I was honored to attend my friend Monica’s graduation from the women’s one year discipleship program at The Mission at Kern County. Monica has not only recovered from a lifestyle of addiction, she has been restored. Amazing, huh?

In the photo above, you can see Monica and me at Monica’s Graduation from TMKC. “I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten—“ Joel 2:25

And that’s exactly what has happened to Monica. Her life has been given back to her. And the best is yet to come. The above photo is such an accomplishment for Monica – she has achieved her goal of graduation from the one year program. She’s with Miss Vickie, TMKC Women’s Program Director receiving her certificate and many other honors for completion. Monica’s new beginning started with her decision to submit to God, enter the mission’s program and do the work her recovery required. “Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.” Psalm 51:12 (NIV)

GriefShare Women’s Class at TMKC begins Monday Feb 5 through May 21, 2018. Monica, is no longer victimized by her past mistakes, is a ‘prisoner of hope.’ Would you pray for Monica and other women to stand firm, with faith strong and remember the work God has done in their lives? “Return to your fortress, you prisoners of hope; even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you.” Zechariah 9:12

Thank you for your regular prayers and generous financial gifts. Thank you for your contributions — because of your donations, we purchased the workbooks for the GriefShare Women’s Class begins on Monday February 5 through May 21, 2018. We appreciate your constant and faithful support. We are praying for you.

Sending my love,

Sheryl
