Happy Friday. Some of you are really in need of the interview I am going to share today. How do I know? Because I know what it means to want to worry. I also walk on the edge of fretting. This interview is great; it’s great wisdom, shared with one of my AWSA sisters last month in Ohio at the International Christian Retail Show. Maureen Pratt’s new book Don’t Panic! How to Keep Going When the Going Gets Tough—just reading the title makes you want to dive in, doesn’t it?
Here’s what Maureen says about Don’t Panic:
Crises will inevitably occur. But whether they are natural disasters or societal or personal flash-points, there are things we can do to feel more calm and in control—and less likely to panic! This book is full of practical and inspirational insights on how we can better understand ourselves and how we react to adversity. It offers many ideas about how we can build physical, emotional, and spiritual strength and resilience. And it includes ways to keep faith and hope foremost, no matter what might be falling apart around us!

Praying the Lord’s Prayer s-l-o-w-l-y helps push panic into its rightful place—at the feet of our Heavenly Father. Try it.
“This, then, is how you should pray:
‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.’”
