Joy to you this Christmas. "But the angel said to them, 'Do not be afraid, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ, the Lord.'" Luke 2:10-11

Dear Friends and Family,
I'm thankful for a lifetime of mentors. These godly women have walked me through trials and triumph with a desire to help me draw close to Jesus. A few of them are: Shirley Adkins (my mom), Margy Eberhart (late camp directors' wife who led me to the Lord), Linda Ballweg (college Bible study leader ), Sue Sabaloni (MIT prayer group leader), and Judy Hampton (late speaker and author). In 2003, Judy encouraged me to join Advanced Writers and Speakers Association, a sisterhood of women who communicate God's Word through the written and spoken word.
June is here. It's time to celebrate. Join me as I honor my husband, Dr. Jim Turner, for his many contributions to our community and to my personal health, well-being and future. "Not to us, O Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness." Psalm 11:1
I couldn’t stop staring. I was captivated by the perfection of my infant daughter’s features and fingers, even her dainty little toes. I lifted my praise to Creator God, “I worship you, God for allowing me to be a mother to this precious life.”
I remember another time I couldn’t stop staring. It happened years before, as a Bible school student. I’d been given an assignment in our theology class to worship God, outdoors, after dark, to contemplate the power of God as it is revealed in the magnitude of the heavens. The professor’s instruction for our stargazing assignment was to lay flat on our backs, look up into the sky and meditate on Psalm 139 while meditating on God’s greatness.
